November’s theme for Bibliotheca: Versatility

Hi everyone, sorry I’m a bit late to the November’s theme for Bibliotheca, I’ve been feeling under the weather recently & had to take care of my mental health first. Now that I’ve feeling better, I can’t wait to share some of my versatile lolita items (mostly pink edition) with you all. The way I determine which are my most versatile lolita items was by looking back at my coords within these couple years, I guess which is kind of similar to how Spotify wrapped or YouTube music recap works?

Let’s start with blouse!

Pumpkin Cat The Undomiel- Lolita Blouse

I believe I bought this pumpkin cat blouse couple years after I started wearing lolita, and I still wear it in my recent coords! I bought it because I love the shimmery pink chiffon fabric. I usually wear it with my sax, mint, lavender & pink dresses. This long sleeve chiffon blouse is great for spring, fall and even winter as well! I like to layer it with a uniqlo heattech undershirt underneath the blouse, not only it would keep me warm, but it also make the sleeves less see-through if I want it to have an opaque look! I also love that if I don’t want to wear a statement necklace in my coords, the lace collar and neck ribbon can still serve as a accessory.

We are moving onto shoes!

Bodyline Double Ribbon Platform Pumps

I talked about these Bodyline platforms in my 2022 shoes collection post. I still love and wear them a lot, I had them since I was a newbie lolita. I love that I can wear them for my old school, sweet and OTT-sweet coords. There is something about the baby pink shade that is perfect for a lot of BTSSB & AP sweet dresses, not to mention the cute double bows on the front!

极星海洋 tea party shoes in holographic pink from Taobao

Okay but dearie how about when you don’t want to wear platform heels? That’s when the tea party shoes come in! They are super cute with the pleather ruffles, bows and pearl charms on the front, and star shaped buckles (not shown in stock photo). They are comfortable as well because of the cushioned insole, so they are a great alternative for my sweet lolita coords if I don’t want to wear platforms.

Then let’s move on to accessories, shall we?

Angelic Pretty Heartbeat Ribbon collection:

I have the Heartbeat ribbon necklace in mint, lavender and white, the ring in lavender and bangle in pink. I’ve worn them with a lot of my AP dresses that have mint, lavender or pink accents. I feel like I’ve also worn the Heartbeat ribbon ring in lavender in almost every OTT sweet coord?! 😂

When I think of sweet lolita fashion, one of the first things I associate it with is bow! These bow shaped statement accessories go so well with a lot of sweet prints and the glittery acrylic jewellery can elevate your OTT sweet coords with extra cuteness!

I’m glad AP has re-released this collection in different years and with variations as well, because this is a must-have for every sweet lolita/AP fan in my opinion! Their most recent re-release is actually this year (2023) & they renamed it to Glitter Ribbon and their Angelic Pretty logo is located on the right instead of in the middle, and they still got the rhinestones and chunky heart glitters in the plates.

Unfortunately, I always forgot to take close up pictures of my accessories with my coords, so I don’t have close up pictures to post. 😦 I guess one of my goals for 2024 would be taking more pictures of them!

And last but not least, bag!

MILK Heart Bag in Shiny Pink

Even though I love tiny purses and plush bags so much, but the winner of most versatile bag in my heart (no pun intended) is the MILK heart bag! I like to wear my pink coords with the metallic pink heart bag, I love the metallic shiny texture. It’s also a spacious bag that can fit all of my essentials, it can fit a portable parasol and a water bottle at the same time! I also like to switch out the keychain/charm on the zipper as well, the keychains I have attached before are Among Us, a bunny plush I caught from a claw machine, Meowgical Pusheen plush and Mercy from OW.

  1. that is such a gorgeous blouse! I also really like to use keychains in lolita. I think it’s an easily forgotten way to squeeze a little more into a coord. I have a whole bin of cute keychains to put on my bags!
